History of HHYBS

Hickory Hills Youth Baseball / Softball (HHYBS) began in the summer of 1953 with their fields located behind the Sabre Room at aprox. 9000 W. 95th St, Hickory Hills. This location was the home of HHYB until 1963 when due to rapid growth the league was forced to look for a larger location to accommodate the expanding number of teams. The league found what they were looking for and moved to an area behind the old Golden Gate Nursery at aprox. 7800 W. 95th St, Hickory Hills. The league called this location home until 1973. In the fall of 1971 arrangements were made with ComEd that allowed the league to use the land that the league currently uses at 9906 S. 76th Ave, Hickory Hills We started out by building five fields and in 1973 we started our first season in the location we now call home. At the present time we have five baseball fields and three softball fields.
